"Amazing accommodation. D’Autor village is a beautiful property composed of several small villas, with a great pool that overlooks the valley. Please is spotless, with great hospitality and very nice staff that is always there to help and answer any questions you may have. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Property is located in the Vinho verde region so expect some travelling if you’d like to visit the Douro valley."

"This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. Great indoor spa facilities (we had a brilliant couples massage) and the outdoor pool is the perfect place to swim and relax with a cocktail. There are loads of nice places to sit and relax inside and outside. Staying here feels as comfortable as being at home. The breakfast is delicious, lots of choice and everything high quality. Room service food was great, the food in the restaurant really delicious. All of that aside though, what really makes this hotel special is the staff. We had brilliant service from the second we checked in to the moment we checked out. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the service felt personal and attentive. We had hired an electric car, charging it was no trouble and in fact the receptionist offered to take our keys, charged the car overnight and parked the car back in the car park. We were lucky enough to be able to have a late check-out too - again this was no trouble and the team were happy to accommodate us. Don’t miss the club room - a lovely space to relax with a book (there are plenty), watch tv and enjoy a complimentary cup of tea and slice of cake. I’m hoping MS Collection expands their luxury hotels elsewhere so we can explore more places while staying in luxury!"

"We felt welcomed and had a very nice time at the property. Our only qualm was the distance from the main towns in Douro, likely our fault for not researching before our travels. Without a car, you’re very much reliant on taxis which have to drive in from Regua (often taking 20-30 minutes). The staff was very helpful in this case, always happy to help. However, the distance makes for a very unique and gorgeous vantage point directly in the midst of the valley and above the river. The room and shared spaces were clean and well maintained, but were strongly perfumed if you are sensitive to smells. We enjoyed the free breakfast, and felt very much at home."

"Destaco Muito positivamente a simpatia e cuidado do staff. Quanto à limpeza do quarto poderia ser melhorada, pois tinha lixo debaixo da cama e a banheira de hidromassagem precisa de ser limpa a fundo . Também destaco como ponto menos positivo o facto de a tomada ao lado da cama não ser de todo facilmente acessível, pois está atrás de uma gaveta."
