If you’re looking for a chill experience, off the beaten path, this is the place. Beautiful, clean, peaceful, better prices and amazing view of the sunrise. I’d recommend a car if you’re staying here and they have an amazing parking lot

Overall very depressing. The buffet was fairly good. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However the bathroom situation is awful. No fan felt like it was going to rain in there by day 2.

My friend and I have just returned home after a week at the Amber Light Villas. Santorini and the Amber Lights exceeded our expectations. The two bedroom villa we had was fantastic, so much room and a very generous outdoor space with great sun loungers and a hot tube. The Villas are located up in the hills and it was beyond peaceful and relaxing. It was great having a small hire car and we were able to travel around from there. It's only 10 minutes from Fira which is a great visit in the evenings. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough, it was fantastic.

Stunning view and size of the room is excellent. We were very disappointed upon our arrival that none of the promised amenities worked. The sauna in the room and sauna at the spa didn’t work, The temperature of the jacuzzi in the room and spa was set to lukewarm a totally out of our control. Breakfast was more like a cafeteria food quality. Definitely a management issue. It is out of nowhere. If you want to enjoy nature and silence, you might enjoy it. I missed the energy and was glad we rented a car to explore.

Amber light villas was an okay place to stay. I was sad about the fact we were told we will be having a jacuzzi and it was not warm and the button to turn on the bubbles did not work easily. The place was infested with bugs but not sure if that’s the fault of the property or the fact we were so high up in the hills. That’s another thing to note, getting to this place is a trek. The bathroom door never closed properly and took a long time to do so when it eventually did. Overall the property is outdated and definitely needs a refurb in order to be classified a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was the same more or less everyday and was super basic. It must be noted there are so many stairs. Please be aware when booking this place. That being said, staff were kind and views were unreal.

The hotel was pretty good. We booked a private room with pool. The pool was amazing but didn’t get cleaned regularly and after a couple days got slippery. It was swam in daily and a nice piece to look at and enjoy daily. The cleaning for room service sucked. We slept in so we missed a couple of days of cleaning and when they did “clean” our room they smeared our mirror and made it all hazy and look dirty. They didn’t empty the garbage cans and you can’t flush toilet paper so there was dirty toilet paper for days until I said something about it needing to be cleaned out. They also put toilet paper on the counter but wouldn’t take any of the empty rolls with them. The only thing that got done was our bed got made but no clean sheets and I kept having to Call for towels as they typically bring them when your room was cleaned. But the one time they left a towel was only one towel for 2 people. The breakfast was a 2/5 for me. Coffee was as a machine you could choose from but the rest of the breakfast didn’t taste or look very good and they offer oatmeal but no hot water to actually cook it. Breakfast is from 8-10am and I feel should run later so that guests can sleep in if they do want to eat there. 99% of our stay we had to go out to eat due to times and the food not being good. Don’t stay here for food or cleaning unless your up early but it was amazing for the pool. Guy at bar/reaturant was very accommodating and amazing service We did enjoy our day despite all this

The property, rooms, and staff are fantastic. The location of the hotel was the only negative. There is nothing within walking distance, so be prepared to spend €20-30 on each ride to town or rent a vehicle. If you don’t mind spending money on transportation then you can’t go wrong with this hotel.
