This hotel has a nice colonial charm to it. We had two issues which were a leaky toilet and a musky odor in the room. We did not complain since we were only there for one night since our vacation spot was in Las Terrenas and our flight was early in the morning from Santo Domingo airport. Breakfast was great and checkout was simple. There is currently construction happening in the area so finding a parking spot might be difficult.

The hotel is conveniently located in one of the best areas of the Colonial Zone, within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The area also felt very safe. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations for a boutique hotel. The breakfast was very poor, to the point that we chose to have breakfast at a restaurant instead. The rooftop bar was not open during our stay, which was disappointing. The towels were quite old and could definitely use replacing, and the room lacked the thoughtful details and essential toiletries one would normally expect from a boutique hotel. The location is definitely the hotel’s strongest point, but the quality of the amenities and attention to detail need significant improvement.
