"Really nice, recently updated."

The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

"This is one of the oldest hotels on the island and with that said. It is old. In our room the toilet paper holder and towel holder was broken. The light on the balcony was falling off. It felt clean otherwise. We got a suite for 6 people but only 2 people could eat breakfast for free. Otherwise it’s $25/person for a continental style breakfast. If you plan to rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach there is that option or you have to sit behind 3 rows of them set up which blocks your view of the water. The pool area and outdoor space is nice. Only one of the smaller pools is heated. The outside doors are unlocked during the day and underneath the staircase there was a homeless man sleeping on a blanket with a toilet paper roll next to the area. Felt unsafe going up and down the stairwell. A nice stay for a short trip but wouldn’t stay here for a longer."

"I can’t say enough good things about our stay! The beds and pillows were perfect. The toiletries in the bathroom were amazing! We had several meals at The Remedy. It was so great to have it right there on the property. Out the door and basically right on the beach. Would definitely stay here again. "
