Hotel Santa Barbara
10/10 Excellent
"Nice stay, great location. Rooms are a bit small but recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. Staff was professional and friendly.
When we first got there we had them bring our luggage up (which we usually do not do) and after waiting an hour had to go back and ask where it was. It quickly arrived after that.
The valet staff was great, but am not a fan of valet parking because I like quick access to my vehicle and the lot closed at 9 which meant we had to run in and ask where to park. They would unlock the gate and let us in. While I appreciate the idea of safety, however, often cars are parked across the street in an unlocked lot. We couldn’t simply park it ourselves because the hotel has only certain spaces in the lot across the street. Great for people who just want to park the car for the stay. The area is very walkable and last time we were there we never used the car. This time we were there for a wedding and had to drive almost everyday of our 4 day stay.
The hotel is pricy, but similar to other hotels with a similar location and the location is great!
Would recommend for staff and location."
"We came to The Simpson House Inn to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect!! The Victorian Inn and the beautiful gardens were spectacular!
The happy hour appetizers were great as was the breakfast. They also serve refreshments in the afternoon should you need something to hold you over until happy hour. The service was exceptional in all areas! I recommended this for anyone wanting a special place to stay in Santa Barbara!"
"Clean & clutter free rooms. The pool was lukewarm yet refreshing temperature. Aviary was clean and it was a nice surprise to be able to admire all the finches in their home. "
"Wonderful experience at the Cheshire Cat! So much pride exhibited in this family owned and run business. Bed very comfortable, grounds lovely, lots of outdoor spaces which is important to me. And the breakfast and bonus choc chip cookies were delicious! Can’t wait to return to my new Go-to! Highly recommend!!
Cheers, Debra"
