Great stay in Santa Ynez. Large room and baths. Great outdoor social section for large or smal groups. Enjoyed their wine and dessert hour. New restaurant opened with very delicious menu.

Beautiful big room with timed fireplace! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom huge. Public spaces including the restaurant and library were beautiful. So we’re the entry space with staircase and outdoor garden. The staff were very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything was perfect. The room, was large, clean, had a comfy bed, and had all the comforts you could ask for. The staff was amazing. The property was lovely, very quaint and extremely quiet and relaxing. We really enjoyed the breakfast they served. I would def. recommend this hotel.

The hotel's ambience greeted us! From the warm French musical tones to the soft smell of vanilla, we felt a sense of relaxation which lasted during our stay. The music "followed" us into our room and set the mood as we cozied up to the fireplace, released stress in the steam shower, and while the beds were softer than ours at home, we slept well. The in-house services of breakfast of both continental and freshly prepared to order items, wine hour including a charcutier board, and the dessert hour gave us the opportunity to meet our fellow guests in the lovely parlor. All were unrushed and cozy. Attentive and friendly staff! Dinner at The Victor was excellent! We shared the fresh greens and beet salad with a delicious vinaigrette dressing, but we each had an excellently cooked hamburger. The duck-fat-fried French fries were outstanding! Highly recommend; after all, we were on vacation! The hotel is conveniently located to local wineries, other small towns, and the SY Chumash Museum. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance and the SY Historical Society's Museum is across the street. We will be back!

The Genevieve is a wonderful hotel in San Ynez. Walking distance to some great restaurants & shops. The rooms are large and comfortable with big bathrooms. In the evening they offer wine and desserts. Breakfast is included with two choices daily.

Wonderful property. Incredible stay, great service, very elegant room and the breakfast was very delicious. Close to wineries and great places to eat. Highly recommend this boutique bed and breakfast.

Fantastic Stay

This was our first time staying at The Genevieve. We were very pleased with our room and appreciated having two valets to use! Bathroom was spacious (though could have used more lighting) and nice having a balcony. Breakfast was included and bikes were available for use. Location was perfect as we were attending an event at Gainey Winery, which was just down the street.

Love that you can play the music in each individual room and control the volume. The bathtub is so fun and the shower has a steamer function. Breakfast was decent and the fireplaces around the property are a nice touch. Wish the front desk staff had been a little more friendly however. They were nice, but cordial. They didn’t acknowledge our anniversary at any point also even though I put it on our reservation which I though was odd. Even just a nice note in the room would have been a nice touch but they didn’t do that. They also basically just handed me a paper with all the amenities rather than explaining everything to us at check in. So in general, I wish the front desk staff were more friendly.

The area was conveniently located to shops, restaurants and various wineries. Our room was quiet, didn't hear traffic noise but landscaping work could have been done a bit later in the day. The daily breakfast were delicious with varied menu. The happy hour was also good with white and red wine and excellent charcuterie. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
