Great Location for a Great Price

I couldn't be happier with our stay at Quality Inn. It is just down the street from a Trader Joes, a few blocks from Grocery Outlet and a number of small eateries between the two. There is also a Bcycle hub across the street which was perfect as we used the bike rental service as our primary mode of transportation when we were in town. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location is quiet. And breakfast! Any place with waffle makers at their continental breakfast gets extra points in my opinion. I would absolutely stay here again the next time we're in Santa Barbara.

Sufficient accommodation

Room is quite small, but sufficient. Grateful for the continental breakfast, but all too much sweet offerings… sugar is killing us all! Fresh fruit or eggs (even just boiled eggs) would be super nice and non-dairy milk/creamer would be lovely for the tea/coffee.

Inadequate AC on hot days

It is a great little hotel in convenient location and good price. We happened to stay on the hottest day of the year and the air conditioning was NOT adequate. Santa Barbara is usually very mild so not needed. But... on hot days, may want to look for a place with better AC.

It’s was perfect for a quick overnight stay. Breakfast was good. Waffle maker and yoghurts and pastries. Coffee and juices. Modest, but did the job. There was some garbage stuffed behind the nightstand that had not been cleaned. Otherwise, it was exactly as I would think it should have been for price and chain.

Staff was friendly and professional. For a motel, it felt safe and mostly clean. Our room was strictly non-smoking as all rooms seemed to be judging from the no smoking signs on all the front doors. HOWEVER, we stripped off the covers and kept the A/C on all night because the room reeked of cigarette smoke. We couldn't change rooms bc we checked in late at night and we know it was the last room available anyway. It was a terrible night. Breakfast was surprisingly decent for a tiny motel. Carb overload.
