"Beautiful views of surroundings including stunning sea view from the outdoor area. Great nearby hiking and running conditions. However, the apartments and other facilities need to be refurbished. The lack of air condition (only a fan in the kitchen ceiling - nothing in the sleeping room) severely affected sleep and general wellbeing. A leaky toilette generating constant noise. The outdoor pool looks great at the pictures but was not fresh, the water was not clear and the only shower did not...

"It was like to be inside the fridge,no heating at all no good to stay this time of the year. We got quickly fixed with hot water and extra duvets otherwise is impossible to sleep gets very cold night time late march and early April."

"Really enjoyed our stay at the Ultonia. Excellent location for the Cathedral and Old Town area of Girona. Quick and easy from the bus and train station. Rooftop bar was fantastic, great cocktails and excellent views. All staff were super friendly and accommodating- helping us to get a taxi to the airport very quickly! "

"We spent two nights in Girona. What a surprisingly special little city in Spain. Underrated!!! Gorgeous!!! The hotel is perfectly situated where you can walk to everything and the dining in Girona was insanely good; like any major city, but with a small city feel. "The hotel was built in 1902 and was pristinely maintained-it was like walking into history. The lovely garden and fountain, pool and outdoor patio were beautiful. It was a pleasure to stay in such a lovely hotel. The staff went above and beyond and were very kind. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I will be back-it was wonderful!! "
