"It’s a Motel. However, after visiting other facilities (I would NOT call them “resorts”), this seems somewhat ordinary. Think, 1970’s island resort with 10-20yrs of upgrades. It’s still a Motel, most are on the island. Nothing fancy, quiet and small. The island is very natural, so not expect beauty or well maintained properties. It’s the natural look and that’s what they are going for….If you’re looking for a true resort, choose another island or stay on the mainland. Rooms were updated and clean. "

"Nice stay for our family of 6. Played pickle ball and used the pool daily. Lots of seashells and dolphins from the beach. Sanibel is a nice break from the built up parts of Florida. Groceries and restaurants nearby. Bike paths from sanibel to captiva. Would stay again."

"Room was spotless. Had free bikes, locks, helmets. Even has a shell washing station! Keurig with coffee sugar and creamer minis, a mini fridge and cooktop if you wanted it. King Bed was very comfortable! "

" Beautiful, clean, modern beachfront property on Sanibel Island. We stayed in Room 108 (2 queens + full kitchen) and loved the large screened patio, comfortable beds, heated pool with ocean views, and easy beach access with amazing shelling. Free washer/dryer access was a nice bonus (bring your own detergent). Wristband keys were also a great touch. Parking can be tight, and there are stairs to access the office/rooms (small elevator available). No daily housekeeping — you exchange towels at the office. Overall, a peaceful and well-done property that we would absolutely return to. "

"Our stay at Seahorse Cottages was absolutely perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. The bed had high quality sheets and the mattress was very comfortable. The grounds around the cottages were attractive and well kept. We loved having two porches as options for spending time outside. One was sunny and one was shady. The pool was adorable and had plenty of seating options. It was nice to come back from the beach and lounge by the pool. The beach was within walking distance and my husband and I enjoyed walking to the lighthouse from the closest beach access. If you didn’t want to walk, the Seahorse Cottages provided great bikes to use. There are two good eating establishments close to the cottages. One is within easy walking distance. The big bonus was the ice cream shop also within walking distance. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at the Seahorse Cottages and I really hope we will be returning in the future! "

"We enjoyed a superb week! Staff was extremely helpful, our room was clean and quiet. The inn provided beach chairs, towels, and carts for the 10 minute walk to the beach, even a shell cleaning station. Plenty of bikes for guests to use. Excellent dining and ice cream shop available across the street. We can't wait to go again next year!!"
