"Pleasantly surprised! I caught a decent deal during peak season. I appreciated that the room was non carpeted and smelled clean. I didn’t know air-conditioning could go so low. First time I’ve turned one off.👌 The room sleep was dark - good curtains. The bathroom door closed!(it’s a thing) Lost the preferred parking spot when We headed out for dinner but there is plenty of parking! Minimal interaction with staff but it was kind and knowledgeable. A quick stay. 😊 Depending on your needs. -perhaps still would want your own pillow and an extra blanket for weight? :)"

"Staff were great. Hotel and breakfast as expected. Parking was provided but not overly clear where to check in so be aware to drive around the back of the hotel (there’s an entrance and “front” desk there :)…otherwise great. We booked the handicap accessible suite because that was the room with a king bed-the bathroom is huge. **Of note-there are no keurigs now so if you are a coffee snob (like me) all that’s in the hotel is the machines by the front desk** We made other arrangements-there’s a Starbucks, Serious Coffee nearby (quick drive) or Tim’s just across."

"In the past month we've stayed in three different rooms at this hotel. All the rooms were spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptional, and the location is perfect for travelers with easy access to the freeway, shopping, and dining. We used the restaurant twice for dinner and once for breakfast. The food was very good and the staff were pleasant."

"I had a great stay at the empress. Staff was wonderful! I enjoyed the amenities and afternoon tea as well My only complaint rooms could use some upgrades. I had to change rooms because of this"

"Property unique. A farm renovated as a Inn. Beautiful spaces inside and outside. Breakfast was fine, shared at a big table with other people. Nice chatting."
