"It was very quiet and clean. I liked that it was walking distance to the beach, food, and a few bars. Very pleasant without the crowds and busy traffic which is exactly what I needed. "

"Property offers a great value, however it was quite noisy.
I think we'll try a more expensive property to see if there's an improvement that is worth the added cost.
Great staff and clean room, etc."
"Place was nice. I had a joined room but not with friends and sound was horrible. Empty hotel. Could have split us up. It was terrible trying to sleep."
"The only good thing about this hotel is the view. The service was fine checking in. Although the view was great upon entering our room in the kings row building, that was about it for positives. The room reeked like musty smoke. The doors were filthy. We wiped them and the bathroom knobs and handles and our wipes were black when we finished cleaning. A wash cloth was dirty when I went to use it. There were strange, plastic like netted covers on the chairs, I suspect to cover gross chairs. Made us not want to sit on them! We went onto the balcony and it had stains from pets all over the place. Then when it gets dark, the staff light the fire pits outside. The smoke billowed into our room which caused my husband severe allergic reaction, with red and swollen eyes.
We will never stay here again. 3 nights for 950 bucks, is a waste of money. Additionally, guest smoking weed next door was annoying as well."
"We were visiting family in Morro Bay and needed a hotel for several nights. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean modern. The only negative thing i have about this room is there was only one chair for the table. There were two of us."
"Great location. Clean, nice staff.
Terrible water pressure, needed a full length mirror and a combination of feather and non feather pillows but overall great place."
"The staff, room and property were great, and the morning breakfast was good, fresh and hot.
The Heating and AC and shower head and pressure were all great.
Our only frustration was with the TV and remote. It is very confusing how to pick channels without personal instruction from the hotel staff. It is a system we have never encountered before.
We would have scored our stay 5 stars if the TV remote and channel selection were "normal"!"
"Was hoping for a newer more updated room. We did get moved to another room with a spectacular view but it was an older room. Hopefully the hotel will be renovated soon."
"Great location for visiting Hearst Castle; nice room, lobby, friendly helpful staff.
Unfortunately a bit run down from what it obviously once was when built (50 years ago or more?). Toilet dripped, unprofessional fixture attachment to walls (plumbing and electrical). Hallway skylights need replacing.
Breakfast was a disappointment; just the basics, cereal, waffle maker, toast, apples and bananas, few other items, small generic muffins."
