Close to the cloud forest and a Sloth sanctuary. Tip, park at the parking lot that says Offical Parking & take the shuttle, there is really no parking at the park entrance. "

"Mountain Faro is a simple, clean, and well-located property, with a good breakfast included. Yes it is up a hill, but you are in Monte Verde and everything is up or down a hill. The staff, led by Lady, are lovely, welcoming, and so helpful - including recommending restaurants, helping to arrange tours, and arranging transport as needed (for tours, or if you just don't want to walk the hills). I highly recommend it."

"Vacationed here for a short honeymoon stay. Great property. However, take into consideration that the property is a 3-hour drive from the airport and the hotel does not provide transportation (costs an additional $USD200 for private transportation from the airport). "This is a beautiful place. After a week of travelling around Costa Rica, this was a quiet and restful place to prepare for our trip home. The birds and butterflies were very busy in the morning, and the view is very beautiful. It is located less than one hour from the San Jose airport, and the town of San Ramon has many options for dining. The hosts were excellent, and a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast was provided, including perfect gallo pinto. I highly recommend Casa Amanecer."

"Our room was nice and clean and we had a beautiful view out of our bedroom window and off of our balcony. There was a river that runs right behind the rooms, it was great listening to that a night. It was great sitting out on our balcony, the balcony is compact though. The little kitchen was nice and suited our needs just fine. Unfortunately the pool was not working while we were there, but it was to cool and it was raining the whole time so we wouldn't have used it anyway. "
