Room was basic, clean and old world charming. Ac was extra $10 bc we didn’t book it, but weather and window did not require it. Best hotel breakfast we had in all of Costa Rica. Alejandra was so kind and professional. Safe parking as well.

We had a wonderful stay the night before an early flight out of SJO. The location is convenient to the airport and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The building itself is beautiful. We plan to stay here again on our next trip to Costa Rica!

The 1915 Hotel was a delightful place to stay before catching my flight at the San Jose airport. The interior public spaces are charming, the room was great, the traditional Costa Rican breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very helpful. I highly recommend!!

Magnificent historical building, delicious breakfast, friendly and attentive staff, excellent location (you can go to the airport by bus!) close to the Juan Santamaria Historical Cultural Museum and to some good restaurants, and at walking distance to the Mercado. Rooms are very clean but also very basic (there's no closet, no place to store your things or to hang your clothes; our TV didn't work). The bathroom has no shelves, or countertops to leave your toiletries. No hairdryer. While the shower has cold and hot water, the sink has only cold water (it wasn't a big deal for us, but I thought I should mention this).

When we arrived lare at night we were greeted immediately ar the door and were given all the information required for our stay. The host is gracious and informative. Our breakfast this morning was in a charming and lush dining area. We would definitely come and stay here again!

Friendly staff. Building is beautiful. Room 15 was noisy. Right by street Trucks and motorcycles wake me up in the morning. Bring ear plugs. You hear the door bell every times it rings. WIFI good in hall but not room for #15. Banks, shopping, restaurants and local bars. Nicer bars and beautiful mall are a short uber away.

Charming hotel in old city
