San José del Cabo hotel rooms a the Best Western

"We had a sad incident with room service in our last day, and a very rude telephone operator over a simple ham and cheese eggs omelet that I ordered. The person that took the order, did not know how to make a true omelet with real eggs, and delivered a white eggs omelet instead. I still can't understand the none sense argument when she claimed that the menu does not carried a true omelet choice. The end result, I cancelled the order. Sincerely, the hotel is a 5 star on all departments, a beautifull well maintain property and overall service the best, but room service a complete disapointment. Paying high prices and receiving low quality service is a bad choice. Improvements are needed."

"Everyone was friendly and I felt safe. The property had a team of ambassadors who was great and hospitable. The spa was amazing and everything was clean. The staff was consistently friendly and professional. My housekeeper was Jacqueline and she was very friendly and conversed with me. One day I came to find my room decorated in recognition for my birthday which was a delightful surprise. Andrea at the pool was wonderful, as well, and the staff at Mako were particularly exceptional, with many of them taking care to remember your name and what you order if you had been there before. One of the things to note is they require reservations for dinner at the restaurants. If they aren’t busy, this might not be a big deal except for the sushi restaurant, which seems to be excluded from everything. It would be nice if one of the pools might be adults only but can see why that might be a challenge to enforce. The only other thing I was not prepared for is this place sells vacations or timeshare-like packages and I was not advised of this beforehand, so I was disappointed to be caught off guard about the “invitation” that also turned into what I was told would be a 75-minute no obligation tour to a nearly daylong aggressive sales strategy. The property has a lot of indulgences that undoubtedly will sell itself and I do plan to return. For guests who stay on the residences side instead of the hotel, it would be nice to know (1) there is a distinction and (2) that there will be a pitch."

"Very impressed with our stay. Nice Spanish style hotel, well laid out, good facilities. Staff were very friendly and professional in every department - plenty of people proactively doing their jobs well. Rooms nice, beds comfortable, clean. Lots of fun entertainment for kids and adults. Good array of food options, with the Deli, Cafe, Zai, and beach pop-up lunches (bbq, paella, tacos) being highlights. Pool was nice, and beach lovely, though swimming in the sea is risky, as with much of that coast line. Close to the old town of San Jose del Cabo which has nice art, good restaurants, and nice to walk around. Less of a party place than Cabo San Lucas (30 mins away), yet with plenty of options."
