"I recently stayed 3 nights at Villa Floresta Monteverde, and it was a fantastic experience. The villa is located in a very quiet area, offering complete privacy—you don’t notice the neighbors at all. The accommodation is modern, beautifully furnished, and features a lovely terrace and an amazing hot tub. The host was very friendly and communicative. "Everything in Costa Rica takes some driving time. Don’t let the 1:20min drive from the airport discourage you. Buffet food is okay. Restaurants are good. Try the tuna tartare. Area around the resort is busy and industrial. Don’t waste your time driving around for souvenirs. There are no shops. The gift shop has average to low prices. Ask for coupons at check in. 10% off helps when you buy everything at once. Airport has nice souvenirs if you don’t want to hassle during your trip, but it will probably be 20% higher. Buy your souvenirs during your excursions. Don’t forget your Yetis’s or Stanley’s, Bars fill them with drinks. Rooms are okay, but cleaned daily. Rent a car and explore. We traveled to Monteverde, Waterfalls, Jaco…at our own pace. Want to see monkeys, go to playa Manta. The entertainment at the resort is hilarious. They’re interactive and remember your name. I would go back. It’s mostly a locals place, but if you want to swim, drink, eat, and laugh you’ll have a good time. They do offer things to do and eat till 130-2am. I would go back, and see the Volcano. During our stay the roads were not passable. 8 out of 10 for me. The value $ was amazing."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming property. The reception and bar/restaurant teams were unfailingly courteous and attentive. The tasteful design and inviting atmosphere instantly make you feel at home and encourage a sense of relaxation. Conveniently located near the town center, it offers the perfect balance—close enough for a somewhat short hike, yet tucked away enough to feel removed from the bustle (such as it is in this quiet hillside town). The short walk to the center is scenic, though a touch steep. An added delight is the afternoon happy hour at the bar—a thoughtful detail that rounds out the experience beautifully. It wasn’t an issue for me at the time of the year that I visited, but some rooms don’t have air conditioning and it could be an issue during warm/hot days. "

"This was one of our favorite hotels! We tried to stay an additional night but it was fully booked. The view was spectacular. Breakfast was delicious. It was close to the center of town but far enough away that it felt private. The staff was incredibly helpful, the room was clean, and the shower was nice and hot. "

"Such a unique, serene experience. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The hotel had so many activities within itself it felt like we didn’t have enough time there!! Our favorite part was definitely the farm to table food experience. Every drink and dish was exquisite. We really appreciated this hotel’s keen attention to detail and the thoughtfulness in everything they do!!"
