Not a hotel but a guest house in a refinished and vibrantly appointed (200 year-old?) historical home newly acquired and attentively managed by Sandra, Michael and son Valentin who were the most welcoming, engaging and thoughtful hosts imaginable. Staying there is like at home, as you got that kind of family touch … room is spacious and clean , views throughout the vineyards are stunning! "We had a memorable stay at Hotel Grand Barrail. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The entire property is stunningly beautiful and exceptionally well-maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable, with one of the best hotel beds we’ve ever slept on. We absolutely loved our time here, which was relaxing and rejuvenating, and we hope to return! "

"Badon Boutique is an excellent place to stay in St Emilion, Staff were so helpful, Parking is a real problem in this very popular tourist town but there is spacious parking albeit having to navigate beforehand through the narrow cobbled streets.There are wine shops all around you, including their own. Fabulous restaurants just meters away, including the outstanding L’Huterie Pie, just across the street. If you want to stay in St Emilion ( and you do to stroll the lanes after the tour buses have gone, stay here!!"

"Great location just off the motorway, very efficient check in and although the meal we had was expensive for what appeared to be a microwave dish, we were happy as a family to have it available. The room was large, two separate bedrooms and a huge bathroom. Warm, clean and comfortable."

"We totally enjoyed almost everything about this property. The location, the ease to find and all the amenities. The staff super nice, the pool and steam a great treat after a long day. The restaurant for breakfast is very good, lots of selection. The dinner on the other hand was lack luster with options that that were limited. Nothing for a non meat eater and the service was confusing. overall I highly recommend and its great value. "
