"This is a beautiful chateau/winery with lovely rooms and a friendly staff. The grounds are spectacular. But the hotel is relatively new, so there is a gap between expectation and performance. We were delayed getting into our room until 4:30 because housekeeping was backed up due to a wedding the day before. "The reception staff were amazing - so welcoming and polite. The location was very good in terms of access to the beach but quite a drive to restaurant area. Service at the bar was incredibly slow- over 20 minutes to get a glass of wine despite the fact that there were only two guests at the bar! The bar man was preoccupied chatting to another guest!
