"Stayed here as the first stop on our honeymoon. The property was very spacious, clean, and the perfect kickoff to our week long getaway. The pool was nicely cold. We will definitely be back."
"The grounds are beautifully kept. The views are spectacularly unreal. Sunsets from the hot tub and our balcony were breathtaking. The unit had everything we needed (towels, ice trays, small cooler to take on our outings, microwave, dishes) except for paper towels, which we bought at the market. Walk right down the cliff steps to dive into the abyss or just down the street to Playa Lagun where you’ll find at least two restaurants just past the beach. The singing chef just up the road at Discover Lagun restaurant prepares a variety of delicious meals. Since we are used to living in close quarters, we brought the mattress downstairs and let the heat rise to the second floor/bedroom while we enjoyed the comforts of the fan and A/C on the first floor. Gracious staff let me borrow a charger when mine went kaput. Gated entrance feels secure. Can’t wait to return!"
"This is an apartment rental. It was spacious, clean, nice, safe. The deck outside was especially nice. The Hotels.com listing is slightly wrong: this is further from the beach, maybe 1/2 km, walkable, but not on the beach.
Uber is not available. You really need to rent a car to be here as most services are not in walking distance. There are 3 restaurants and a bar on the beach. The hostess helped a arrange a car rental, delivered to the property, very helpful.
The unit provided dish soap, but not laundry soap or bath soap. These are readily available at the local grocery store, but, again, not walking distance."
"The manager is very nice. The ocean view was nice to see the sky change colors during sunset. There are nice kitties on the resort. My concern booking this unit was not seeing photos of the actual unit I’d be getting rather a ton of photos of units in the resort which vary quite a lot from one another. We ended up in the unit with a lofted bed and very low ceiling beams. My 5’11 partner banged his head very hard in the middle of the night getting up and I hit my head a couple times moving around packing- I’m only 5’4. This was a big frustration for us. the split ac unit also took a long time to cool the space in the loft after turning on when we returned for the night. It is positioned above the balcony door rather than near the loft so it struggled to compete with the rising heat. The unit was clean but clearly dated. A pungent odor frequently came from the shower drain. We stayed for a week and only had 2 rolls of toilet paper provided. We also got a message after booking with my card that they do not take cards and we would have to bring cash to pay on arrival. We researched and this is fairly common for the area I guess, but still didn’t love that. Overall it was fine, it was safe. They did have 2 sets of towels and 2 beach towels. No toiletries like shampoo. If I stayed here again I’d want a different unit with no loft."
"We had an amazingly beautiful 😍ocean view, and a nice big pool. The apartment was clean and roomy. It had everything we needed. Just a small note, there was a kitchen but no stove only a cook top, which was fine. The staff was super accommodating and helpful. The beach is absolutely stunning it’s a 2 min walk from there. Umbrellas are 10$ and 7$ for a chair. There is also a small restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you want to explore the island, and the rest of their amazing beaches, then you will need to rent a car. The real positive thing about staying on the west side of the island is that you have the 3 of the most beautiful beaches closer by. The best one by far is Grote Knip beach which is an 8 min by car from Playa lagoon. There is a cliff you can climb and jump off from into the water. Bring beach shoes if you are not comfortable walking around on small pebbles or rocks. When you get into the ocean it’s all sand and super clear. Snorkeling gear is a must if you can bring, or you can always go downstairs from the hotel and just rent everything for as long as you need them. It was very convenient to have a dive shop on the premises.
The city is about a 45 min drive, but so worth it if you want to experience some music, history, architecture, restaurants, shopping etc.. The closest grocery store is a 25 min drive. A special thank-you to Yuri that made our stay exceptional 🙏. And to Sunny for the car rental. Highly recommend this stay! 😃😃😃"
