Quality accomodation with perfect service

Great place to stay. Drove from a film shoot in Canberra and was greeted with Brian one of the owners. A charming man. The room was very clean and big; bed was big and just comfortable; and the towels so big and fluffy. Brian gave as all the inside info on where to eat (his judgment was spot on). I travel the world in my work staying in mostly five star hotels, but the Rutherglen Motion Inn was a treat. Old fashioned comfort and service that's missing these days.

Highly recommended - will stay again

Worth staying here, the greeting and service was very friendly. We felt welcomed at all times. Good suggestions of where to eat and what to do. Close to the wineries, walking distance to restaurants. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean and a good size. We will be staying there again.

Spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host Brian was great tipped us to a good dinner place. Breakfast was tasty & plentiful. This hotel is 1.5km to heart of town. Would recommend this to friends.

A gem

A surprsing gem. The aircon was already on for us on a very hot day. Water and brewed coffee was available and free. The room was large with a comfortable bed and two large leather armchairs. The rooms were immaculate and the owners friendly and helpful.

So welcoming

Lots of small things like super fluffy bath towels, pool towels, filtered coffee, cheese boards, bottled milk, friendly helpful managers and communal spaces make this a welcoming Motel. Recommend it to anyone needing a bed in Rutherglen.

Close to perfect..

What an amazing little gem! Proprietors were fun, knowledgeable and interesting. They had even turned on the aircon prior to our arrival. Room was spacious, with added little touches making it more homely (eg. a cheeseboard and knife) and real, glass wine glasses. Proper milk, not long-life rubbish. Most enjoyable. There is also a pool and two-way entry (park your car right outside to bring in bags etc). Definitely recommend.
