"We had the traditional tatami room. It was very clean and we slept well on the futons. The onsen facility is fantastic with lots of baths with different agitation levels. The shower and locker area was well-maintained and stocked with supplies."

"Our hotel was very nice. Location was stunning, lake view is amazing. Our room with private onsen was beautiful. ( ha ha it took us til the last day to figure out there was a tap to add cool water to cool it down…. It was 50°C) but no matter as the public onsen was fantastic especially the rooftop one that overlooked the gorgeous lake. Simply amazing, relaxing, perfect. My biggest problem with all Japanese onsen is the array of lovely lotions and potions that I couldn’t decipher what they were for, I just guessed. Overall wonderful property. Oh the breakfast and dinners were also amazing. Again overlooking the lake. "

"The hotel is adequate. Our room was spacious enough to make our 5 nights stay comfortable. Its biggest plus is access to the grand baths across the road. On-site bakery is great. There is no reception as such, staff from bakery multi task. The main issue was Wi-Fi or lack of it on the 6th floor."

"Very nice hotel. You do need a car to move around. Dining options are not walkable. "
