"small hotel, big mess behind the reception desk and in the open store room. First they had to change the dirty sheets, a TV with no connection, the room needs a makeover. In short the hotel is largly overpriced, not to be recomended. A new pool is beeing built, no time for maintenance."

"Nice stay, the luxury chalet is so lovely. The staff were nice enough, breakfast was fine. There are a lot of ants however in the rooms. It also would’ve been nice to know prior to our stay that there was construction going on to build a lift. The stairs are certainly not for the faint hearted. The pool area was nice but other than that the hotel amenities are limited. "

"We loved staying here, we extended our stay by nearly a week! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The view of the ocean is fantastic, and I've never seen such beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was simple, but had everything we needed. The staff and owners were lovely. I want to thank Sandy specifically because when my partner injured her foot, Sandy helped tremendously. Jungle Beach was a twenty minute walk from Unawatuna. Situated in a clam bay so hardly any big waves and perfect water temperature. Gorgeous little beach with sun beds and a bar with amazing fresh juice. They also do beach parties. Lots of monkeys around from the forest, so mind your belongings. #beach

"We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. We initially thought we wanted to stay directly on the beach but we were so happy we didn’t. It is just about a 15 minute walk away from the beach and you get to see so much more nature/natural beauty. The views from the restaurant are incredible and unparalleled by anywhere nearby, and we loved being able to see all of the birds, monkeys(2 different species and baby monkeys as well), and lizards from the property. The staff was so friendly and helpful too. If we didn’t live so far away we would vacation here all the time. Highly recommend."
