We had a wonderful stay! The staff was very helpful in providing recommendations for sights to see and dining in the area. The hotel is immaculate and charming from the exterior to the staff. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Lovely hotel, staff very helpful. Extremely clean, beds very comfortable. Family suite was huge and had breathtaking views. Very quiet street a stone's throw from shops and restaurants.
Very reasonably priced basic hotel in pretty village.
Very quiet
Helpful staff - dining options nearby 5 mins walk
We were using it as cheaper transit point than Frankfurt and felt calmer. It’s just an hour by train.

Amazing stay. Staff was awesome every detail was covered. Highly recommend a stay here. Thank you to the owners!
The staff are exceptional! Extremely friendly, welcoming & helpful. The property is in an excellent location! Easy walking distance to everything in town! Plenty of parking nearby (but not directly onsite). Rooms are beautiful!! Amenities are great. Highly recommend staying here & would definitely come again!
Centrally located in Rudesheim am Rhein, this hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The staff were warm and welcoming, and extremely helpful when asked any questions about the hotel and surrounding area. Near to the historic old town area, sights-of-interest and restaurants were all within a short walking distance from the hotel. For those who prefer to start their day with a breakfest, the hotel buffet in the morning was excellent. this is an ideal place to stay for any holiday traveller.
The Zum Baren hotel is a unique hotel run by its owners Jessica and Andrea. They give you personalized treatment. excellent location, everything super clean and very well organized. Spectacular Breakfast. and the staff is the best I have ever encountered, Julieta, Ana and Sofia, a love. They treat you like part of the family and want to make your stay the best. And best of all in several languages German, English and even Spanish. Don't forget to make your reservation at Zun Baren, they will even help you with excursions. thank you
My party of 6 ladies stayed in 3 rooms, each had its own character & charm. Jessica and her husband {proprietors }were simple the best! Spoke English better then some Americans, helped us with every need we asked about, from restaurants, reservations, where the nearest this or that is, we could even get tickets to boat tours, cable car ,right at the front desk and have the charges go directly on our bill. Breakfast was very nice , the staff surpassed every expectations, always checking to make sure we had enough coffee, eggs, etc . We left early in the morning, & since we had paid for breakfast a sandwich , apples and water were waiting for us. I can not say enough good things about our entire experience at this hotel, incredible!
This is likely a private hotel, a renovated private house. The rooms location is convoluted and you need to take a kot if stares, although the lift is available but does not go to all floors so you will need to takes stairs in some areas.
The room is excellent and clean with a big and nice bath tab (the family room for 3 people).
Please be aware that the service is very helpful and friendly but not quite professional and you will need to ask for things, such as toilet paper, as they forget to provide extra.
The reception is closed at 7pm, so there is no service support after that. There are no phones in the room either.
Overall excellent hotel, but you need to check before 7pm if you need any additional things for your room, such as coffee, toilet paper or water.
Rudesheim was our last stop during our 2 week European vacation and we were very happy to stay at Hotel Zum Baeren as it was the best property we stayed at during our entire trip. We have bad allergies and asthma and the staff was able to accommodate our needs fully. Combined with blackout shades and a comfortable bed we had our best sleep during our trip and were able to recuperate quickly from our prior stays in the UK and France. The property is larger than it appears in the pictures and is located just a few minutes away from public parking. It's close to all of the action but just a couple of blocks away from it on a quiet street. We loved walking around the town day and night. We also walked to/from the Niederwald Monument and Eibingen Abbey for beautiful views of the valley covered with vineyards and castles. The staff was awesome and made us feel welcomed the moment we stepped into the lobby. We know enough German to get by but it was very nice having the front desk person fluent in English. She came out from behind the desk and showed us around the property and gave us other useful information on the area. All very much appreciated. When we come back to Rudesheim in the future we will stay at Hotel Zum Baeren without a doubt.
