"View was nice. Very noisy, very hard to get water for the kettle as you had to get it from the very small bathroom vanity. Room was clean, complementary tea and coffee was a joke. One coffee sachet, two tea bags for a 3 day stay. No milk sachets. Very creaky floorboards and you can hear through the walls. Some people dont understand what quiet means. I had to knock on a door and beg a women to be quiet as we and every other person on that level was tring to sleep. The staff were ok .

"Lovely spot. Got a free upgrade to a waterfront room, employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. Yes, the room was outdated but thats the charm of the place. Comfy beds, clean bathroom, and a great espresso machine in the rooms with local coffee pods. We had dinner at their restaurant - amazing food and service. Incredible unique menu using local food and produce with an amazing ambience. You can not find this at a Hilton nor a Marriot. Could not recommend The Waterloo Hotel more. Not to mention Swansea is a sweet little town on the water with great coffee and an epic nine hole course."
"Had a lovely stay at Belmont .Maureen and John are so friendly it feels like home . Really well located and so relaxing .
The Homestead was Beautiful and the Garden was Amazing.
Thank-you "
"Overall, this is a decent getaway spot, but it falls far short of the "resort" title they advertise.
We booked the Aurora Dome, drawn in by the promise of seeing the southern lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any, though obviously that’s up to nature. The dome itself is basic but comfortable—equipped with a couple of chairs, beds, a light, and a heater. However, be aware that there is no private bathroom; guests share a public toilet and shower block.
The biggest issue was the complete lack of hospitality and organization. We checked in at 7:00 PM to find no reception and no staff on-site. We had no idea which dome was ours. I texted the host number and received no response. We were left confused and frustrated until a kind fellow guest helped us out, showing us what the staff had told him earlier.
For the price they charge, you expect someone to be available. When I finally got a call back from the host, I asked why there was no one to check us in or explain the property. The response was: “My people work from 7 am; they need to go home and rest and be with family.”
That’s a nice sentiment for a boss to have, but it leaves paying guests abandoned. There is no hospitality here.
