Lone Hotel by Maistra Collection

"Hotel Lone is certainly a beautiful property, surrounded by greenery and in a wonderful location in Rovinj. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but despite its official 5-star rating, I personally felt the experience was closer to that of a very good luxury 4-star hotel. For me, the main issue is the interiors. The rooms feel quite dark and would benefit from a renovation to bring them more in line with today’s 5-star standards. What I liked least was the extensive use of carpeting, from the hallways all the way into the guest rooms. In my opinion, it makes the interiors feel heavier and somewhat dated rather than fresh and sophisticated. The breakfast area could also use more attention to detail. I found the tables and overall presentation rather basic and visually underwhelming for a hotel of this category. At a 5-star property, I would expect a more refined and polished breakfast setting. That said, Hotel Lone remains a very pleasant and clean property with a beautiful location, distinctive architecture, and lovely surroundings. With a thoughtful renovation of the rooms and corridors, along with greater attention to some of the finer details, it could deliver a much more convincing contemporary 5-star"

"The hotel room that I stayed in was large room with a seating lounge that turned into a sofa bed if required. The bathroom room was large with a free standing bath, large vanity and walk in shower. My room was opposite the harbour and was lovely to look at the view in the morning and evening. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and always very helpful and the breakfast in the restaurant was to order which was excellent. The hotel was on the harbour within stari grad (old town) that I was able to walk around and explore Rovinj with ease. Will definitely stay at the hotel again when I visit Rovinj."

"Would 100% recommend. Everything you would expect from a 5* hotel - the hotel looked brand new everywhere! Beautiful rooms, immaculate grounds, generous breakfast with à la carte choices cooked to your order. What blew us away was the attention to details and every single member of staff making you feel like you were the only guests. Without asking, we received a surprise one evening in our room of an exquisite cake and champagne to celebrate our anniversary - what a thoughtful touch. My husband also accidentally knocked his iced coffee over by the pool and within minutes they had replaced it without asking. Considering our stay was in peak August season, there were always sunbeds to choose around the pool and I witnessed the pool staff going above and beyond ensuring guests every need was catered for. Cannot thank enough every single member of staff for a truly memorable visit in an amazing location."

"A fantastic hotel. Our room (342/1) was large and very clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful including being able to help me with all my onward travel arrangements. A huge selection at the buffet breakfast and dinner. For lunch there are a few places to eat, the pizza place is particularly good. Plenty of snack bars, places to grab a drink. The pools are all really lovely, a great temperature. The sea is so clear, excellent for snorkelling. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and islands. Lots to entertain kids (entertainment, games room, soft play etc)."

"We had a wonderful experience staying here. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was convenient, quiet, and close to everything I needed. The amenities were well maintained, and the entire place felt safe and welcoming."
