El Conquistador Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The resort was absolutely amazing, and the views were breathtaking. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the private island was perfect. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If I had one small suggestion, it would be that the resort is beginning to show its age in a few areas. We noticed some chipped paint, stucco that could use repair, and the water park slides could benefit from sanding, a fresh coat of primer, and new paint. There were also several pool tiles with chipped or missing pieces, and the tile color is starting to fade. The scenic elevators could use a little TLC as well. These are all relatively minor maintenance items, but addressing them now could help prevent more costly repairs in the future. This resort is truly an iconic destination on the island, and I hope it continues to receive the care and investment it deserves. Despite these observations, we had an incredible time and would absolutely stay here again. We can't wait to come back!"

Mata e' Platano Guesthouse
10/10 Excellent
"We booked this guesthouse a day before we travelled and hadn't done any research on where we were staying so we were so pleasantly surprised at how lovely this place was. It's a few container rooms so not too crowded at all. The room was small but relaxing and we slept really well here. There's no TV but I had my laptop with me because I knew I wanted to watch the football world cup games. The kitchen, grab and go breakfast room, was very convenient. The coffee machine is super convenient. The grounds were beautiful, gorgeous trees and greenery all around. We enjoyed evenings reading in the hammocks and in the pool. A great place to come back to and relax at the end of an adventurous day 😊. It had good parking and communication for arrival was really clear. Follow the route on Google maps to get there, don't use the address on Expedia."

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay! Our flight arrived earlier than our scheduled check-in time, and the staff was able to get us into a room right away, which we really appreciated. Traveling with teenage boys, it was perfect that we could relax while still being able to easily keep an eye on them whenever they were in the pool or out enjoying the ocean. The location and convenience made our vacation even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!"

Selva Boutique Hotel - Luquillo Oceanfront Retreat - Adults only
10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful stay at Selva Boutique Hotel in Luquillo. The property is an older pink beach house that feels like staying at a big extended family’s oceanfront home—charming, comfortable, and unpretentious. While it’s clear the building could use some updating, everything worked well and the grounds were neatly kept. Playa Fortuna is right next door. The beach right in front is rocky with no direct access, so you walk a short distance around a few houses to reach the sand. Free beach chairs are provided and the water is calm and quiet. From the hotel it’s about a 10-minute walk up the beach to the famous Luquillo kiosks. Luquillo Beach itself is only four or five minutes away and gets livelier on weekends. The waterfront views from the patio and covered deck breakfast area are incomparable, with El Yunque rising in the background. Breakfast is basic (dry cereal, cold milk, and graham crackers) but convenient. There aren’t restaurants right at the hotel, but the kiosks are close by. Walking the local streets gives a real Puerto Rico feel with friendly locals and occasional neighborhood dogs. The culture is warm and the island is truly enchanting—La Isla del Encanto. The location was perfect for my business meetings and conference in Rio Grande. The price was fair. If you want a relaxed, authentic beach-house stay instead of a polished resort, I highly recommend Selva Boutique Hotel, especially for a larger group of let's say 10 or 12 people. I'd stay there again."

"Only the only problem is cleaning the rooms, I had to ask to clean it and sometimes they weren't even going to clean them"
