"Our stay at El Conquistador was overall a very enjoyable experience.
The hotel is beautiful, with breathtaking views and comfortable, clean rooms. The entire property was well maintained, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We dined at Ventanas Restaurant, where the food was delicious, and we also stopped by El Cafecito coffee shop, which was another great option for coffee and light bites.
There were, however, a couple of issues. When we first checked in, we were assigned a room that had not been cleaned—the beds were unmade and the bathroom was dirty. Thankfully, we notified the front desk, and they addressed the situation immediately by assigning us a new room.
The biggest disappointment was the transportation to Palomino Island. Although access to the island is included with the reservation, we had to wait nearly two hours for the ferry. We were told that the main ferry had broken down, and it seemed the hotel wasn’t adequately prepared to transport the number of guests waiting. This took away from the overall experience and is something that could be better managed.
With some improvements to the ferry logistics and check-in process, this would easily be an outstanding resort experience."
