From the variety of hotels we stayed at during our whole trip, this hotel's breakfast was tied for number one. The proximity to the old town gate was so helpful in maximizing our time in the area. "What a FANTASTIC alternative to staying inside the walls! Literally a 500 meter (8 mins) walk to the Rödertor Gate entrance of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Wonder staff, very clean, spacious rooms, and off-street parking included. The included breakfast offering is fantastic! We even witnessed the staff prepare a special breakfast table setting for someone celebrating a birthday! With pleasure I recommend Hotel Merian Rothenburg!"
