"This was the only resort that looked as good as the pictures we saw on the web ever! It was clean, safe, well-maintained and very courteous staff. And compared to other places, it was quieter and more relaxing than most any other resort we went to. Loved being able to go from the pool to the ocean in less than two minutes! We will come back here! "

"Very beautiful and relaxing and exclusive. It was not busy at all. The individual buildings are great the staff was very friendly. Everything just needed some maintenance or some more attention to it than it was maybe getting. like some of the pathways were very uneven and difficult to walk on there were some areas in the bathroom that you felt like you were going to fall through the floor, tge toilet sounded like it was gonna shift every time you sat, just cuz everything wasn't real tight just just little things that could need maintenance we needed to get help to get the hot water turned on and that took like 2 days but otherwise it was beautiful if you're going there for snorkeling it's perfect you'll be able to snorkel everyday right off the beach you don't even have to do any of the excursions but there are excursions available to many beautiful places and it is worth it to do that it's not close to any of the other resorts so I would make your Excursion plans or your transportation plans ahead of time if possible otherwise Elder at the hotel is great if you have any problems with motion sickness the the car rides can be just as harrowing as any plane would be for you so be prepared for that bring any amenities that you wouldn't normally bring to a five-star Resort you must bring lotion they didn't have cappuccino bar they didn't have a gift shop it was it was beautiful and relaxing but limited options"

"This place doesnt give you an opportunity to cancel even if its within 5minutes of accidentally booking it. Also ONCE your forced to go to the area its so intimidating and terrifying, wouldnt suggest it unless you want to be walking on egg shells with all the gang members out front of the resorts holding what seems like a knife trying to extort you. Book elsewhere and save your money."

"The area is nice with palm trees. The corner room Areca was nice. Bugs repellent is a must. The restaurant is good! The included breakfast is a plus! The beach and the ocean is nice but not good for snorkelling, there is no fish. Maybe if you take a boat tour! You absolutely need a car if you want to do activities and shopping."

"The room was clean. The property itself is very dated. It felt like we were in a retirement place for people over 65. Beach bar next-door was the only restaurant in the area open on a Sunday was not very good. At the time of our visit, the sargassum seaweed was all over all the beaches so they stunk from the rotting sargassum . They check-in is not very good as they have no central office. A caretaker of the building took care of our check-in. Language was a bit of a barrier. Don’t count on early check-in. Our particular room had a few maintenance issues as well."

"Everything about the property was good except for the fact that we had to pay for shuttle service two and from the airport. Also, when we were staying there, we had to pay $50 each wayfor their hotel shuttle to take us to the local grocery store, which was less than 10 minutes away. If we had taken a cab, it would’ve been about $10. I spoke to the front lady desk about the disparity and she informed me that they provide safety. We didn’t eat safety at the grocery store. Very disappointed in the shuttle service that we had to pay extra for we had stayed at another local resort and the shuttle service was free. We will stay at that other local resort in the future."

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
