This area was really great and felt very safe! Lots of delicious food options, easily walk where you need to go, and a few streets away from the metro that runs all the way to DC. Noticed it's not local than touristy but close to things to do!

This part of Rockville is very nice and the hotel is close to several fast casual restaurants as well as a CVS pharmacy. Hotel is essentially at the end of a cul de sac so there is no through traffic (although there is a freeway behind the hotel).

This area has several interest and enough to keep busy enjoying for a weekend.
"Great service and friendly staff. Clean and centrally located. Really enjoyed it. Price went up after check in, even though I reserved through hotels.com. Will find out why. "
"I love this historic property! It has become my “go-to” when in DC. With an expansive terrace and beautiful gardens that overlook Rock Creek Park, it feels like an oasis resort within the city. And yet, it is only a short block from a red line Metro station, offering easy access to the rest of the city. Additionally, I believe it is the closest hotel to both the Smithsonian Zoo and the National Cathedral. The hotel is nearly 100 years old but quite well-maintained. On this last visit, our room did have an “old musty” smell, a singular distraction in an otherwise stellar stay. "
