"The property was the best we’ve ever stayed at. It was very handy for the town but in a very quiet spot. The owner was very friendly and informative. We had a very relaxing break and would highly recommend. "

"Great place to stay. In a great location for walking holiday and visiting local attractions. Place was kept in excellent condition. Lovely views of the hills and to watch the sun go down on a night. Nice bottle of wine left by the hosts for your arrival. Left to you own devices by the owners unless you had a problem. Would definitely stay again. "

"A beautiful cottage in a secluded area with lovely views of surrounding hills and forest. The photos dont do it justice, it is much bigger in reality. It is very well equipped, and beds very comfortable with spotless linen. Even in cold weather, the cottage has more than enough radiators and a very efficient log burner to keep you warm. "Stayed over for a night whilst travelling back from a trip to Scotland. A great B & B which I can’t recommend highly enough. From meeting Susan on arrival where she showed off our room. Whilst cosy, everything was pristine! A comfy bed and great breakfast the next morning topped off a great stay. Not forgetting the pub attached……where we had our evening meal and probably the best Beef and Ale pie we’ve ever had with great personal service too. We’d highly recommend the Rose & Thistle and look forwards to staying again when next in the area."

" Nice little stopover on our drive from Speyside to London. Room above the hotel which was clean and had everything required. Food/drink in the bar well priced and tasty and busy place it was too. Service excellent from all staff-no issues at all although busy little town so finding a parking place was the tricky part!!"

"We had a wonderful stay and the evening meal was excellent - highly recommended and very good value. Breakfast was also excellent. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge and bar and service was friendly and very good, the staff are all great and very welcoming. The grounds are pretty and the room was very good size and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend a stay here."
