"I recently stayed at an IHG Avid hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience overall. During our five-day stay, our room was never serviced. Upon arrival, there was a soap scum ring left on the shower ledge, and due to the lack of housekeeping, we ended up purchasing our own cleaning supplies to maintain basic cleanliness. Essential items such as hand soap, bath soap, tissues, and toilet paper were not replenished after the initial supply was used. Bed linens were never refreshed, and the bed was not made or tidied at any point during our stay. We had to repeatedly go to the front desk to request towels and toilet paper. Even after being told that someone would return to remove the trash, it was never collected. Additionally, a used, dirty plunger was left in the hallway for two days, which raised concerns regarding cleanliness and sanitation standards. While the soap dispensers were eventually refilled, this only occurred after we happened to catch housekeeping staff in the hallway. Overall, the level of service fell far below expectations and was extremely disappointing."
