"From our room to the beach and everything in between was such a great experience! The staff was exceptionally friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed.
I'm already planning my return here!"
"LOCATION is NOT everything! Our bungalo was next to dive tank storage so early morning clanking every day. Employees dont respect sleeping guests (early morning raking outside every day). Restaurant is 1.5 hour wait for food, they DO tell you that up front. A beach resort that doesnt provide beach towels? But they will sell them to you. Would not book again, but then again ROA is not a good place to snorkel via the shore so we'd never go back anyway!"
"We recently stayed at Henry Morgan Resort in Roatán and would like to share some constructive feedback.
First, we truly appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The reception team was welcoming and helpful, and both security and housekeeping did a good job. The buffet staff provided attentive service, and the beach location is absolutely beautiful. The pool area is well situated and offers a relaxing atmosphere.
We did, however, encounter some concerns that we hope management will address. The resort layout is spread out with wooden walkways rather than an open-concept design. While this adds charm, some of the wooden decking — particularly around the pool areas — appears worn, and we noticed a few nails sticking up, which could pose a safety risk.
We also experienced repeated issues with our room key card not working. We had to visit the front desk multiple times to have it reactivated. On one occasion, after it was fixed and we left for dinner, it stopped working again when we returned that evening, requiring another trip back to reception. Additionally, the room lighting was quite dim, and the shower could benefit from a deeper cleaning.
The pools range from approximately 2 to 5 feet in depth, which may be important information for adult guests who prefer deeper swimming areas.
Our most serious concern involved the piña colada machine. After drinking from it, my wife became very ill. The milk appeared curdled, and she was vomiting for several hours and lost an entire day"
"Beautiful resort! I love that a shuttle/ferry boat takes you to the Big French Key private island! Food from Herby's was great and the gym has fully functional equipment. The only thing I wish I would've looked into was the location of the resort because I had the most trouble getting transportation from shuttle included excursions booked on Viator as they do not come out that far. It's a 30 min drive from West End. Taxi rate is high."
"We visited Roatan for the first time and stayed at Acqua di Mare for two weeks in February. The hospitality at Acqua di Mare was exceptional. We started our days having breakfast and were served by Susan and Silvia who were efficient, accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure breakfast was great. They always had a moment to chat and made us feel special. Israel, headed the landscaping crew and worked diligently to make sure the facilities were well maintained. Israel always had a smile on his face and stopped to ask how our stay was.We must also mention Patricia who spearheaded the front desk and who checked frequently to ensure our stay was perfect.
We have already recommended Acqua di Mare to friends and will definitely visit again. "
