"We were excited for our stay but were disappointed when we entered our room by the snell of urine in the living room. I notified the front desk and they went into immediate action. While we left the room to explore the park the hotel staff replaced the sofa in the living room. They were amazing. "
"Room was clean despite housekeeping shortage the first weekend open for the season. Staff was awesome. It was great staying onsite at the National Park. The road to access it was slow, long, up a very old winding grade, but well worth the trip to the top. The lodge restaurant had excellent food and the breakfast buffet (not included) was amazing. It did not bother us, but the rooms are very basic, clean but older. There are no elevators. You are paying for the convenience and beauty of the location. Because of the location, we were able to get up early and visit General Sherman and other sites prior to the onslaught of tourists. Well worth it. "
"Andrea was very welcoming and informative. The email sent prior to my stay was very helpful. The guest suite was perfect, and had everything I needed. The property is well maintained and in a great location when planning on spending time at Kings Canyon or Sequoia National Park. I will be returning! "
"We loved our stay. The staff is friendly and kind. The rooms were clean and I loved that there was a Keurug and coffee pods available. I recommend tge stay at John Muir Lodge. "
"Doug was helpful and friendly on check-in. We loved the view of Mt. Williamson behind the motel. The room was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The towels and linens are of good quality and the beds comfortable. It was handy to be able to park right out front of the room to quickly unload. As with most hotels and motels along 395, it’s close to the road, but earplugs and the a/c unit drowned out the noise. A good spot to head out to Death Valley the next day. "
"this is closer to a 4 or 5
rug was stained from front doorway to bathroom
beds were clean and comfortable
didn't need air
no staff on site, but easy check in
room in dire need of update
