"The pools were amazing and very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and our hotel room was great. The beds must have been updated in the Kantenah building as they were so comfortable. "

"The Dreams Tulum and Spa was a wonderful place to celebrate my wife’s 66th birthday weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make this a very special extended weekend trip on multiple occasions. Don’t DREAM about it, just do it.

Unico Hotel Riviera Maya - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"My husband and I booked a baby moon/anniversary stay at this resort in early April 2026. We were looking for a place to just relax for an entire week and really just do nothing! This was the perfect resort for just that. We were able to lay around at the quiet pool for an entire week without having to cook any food or go anywhere. The staff constantly took care of all of our needs, getting us drinks and food whenever we wanted it! Since I’m pregnant, it was really nice to see that they offered mock tails both at the pool bars and also at each of the five restaurants. The resort is truly a five star resort, and it is kept up very well. I was impressed by the food choices, and the breakfast buffet was my favorite every day. We tried all of the restaurants except for the French restaurant, as we are not big on French food, but we heard really good things about that restaurant as well. The whole time we were there. Our room looked just like the photos on the website and it was spacious and beautiful. The negatives were the staff trying to sell us on a timeshare when we were checking in and checking out. This left a bad taste in our mouths right away and made us uncomfortable. When we are spending this much, I don’t expect them to sell to us like that. Also, the beach here is not very nice at all, and we were unable to spend any time by the water. The beach is dirty and is not kept up, and it was red flag every day that we were there.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico - All Parks / All Fun Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Xcaret was an experience. the property is massive and even if you're planning to partake in all of the all-fun-inclusive park activities, you should take a day to explore the hotel's property.
Because there are so many employees, there were some crossed wires with "

Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort and Spa All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Catalonia Riviera Maya can be a good option if you’re visiting Quintana Roo on a budget, but there are a few things to keep in mind before booking.
First, there isn’t a traditional beach—just a small bay where you can swim. It’s still enjoyable, but it may not meet expectations if you’re looking for long sandy stretches.
Restaurant reservations are quite limited. For example, during our 9-night stay, we were only able to book 4 dinners. You can try going to the restaurants around 6 PM to check for last-minute availability (often around 9 PM), but it’s not guaranteed. Also, meals are restricted to one appetizer, one main course, and one dessert per person.
Rooms are decent if you book a deluxe option, though they could definitely use some renovations. The resort grounds are well-maintained, and most of the staff are friendly, though we did encounter a few less welcoming interactions.
Food overall is average—definitely edible, but not a highlight of the stay.
On the positive side, the spa and gym facilities are excellent. The Italian restaurant stood out with great service, especially from Alejandra and Lucas.
Overall: A decent budget-friendly resort with some trade-offs, especially in dining and beach quality."
