Expedia even reached out to the hotel on my behalf to explain the situation, but despite that, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund. On top of that, I kept getting the runaround—every time I called, I was told the manager wasn’t available. It felt like they were just avoiding the situation instead of trying to help or even have a conversation about it. It’s frustrating that there was no understanding or flexibility given the circumstances. I wasn’t canceling for no reason—I was trying to protect others. Based on this experience, it feels like customer care isn’t a priority here. If you ever find yourself sick or dealing with a family emergency, don’t expect any compassion or accommodation—you’ll still lose your money."
