"I booked and paid for my one night more than six months ago. A few days before my arrival I wrote to the hotel and informed them of my arrival time. I received an answer back telling me that I would be welcomed at that time. However, standing at the reception in the evening at my arrival, I was informed that I had no booking at the hotel. "The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."

Hotel La Chaumiere

Hotel La Chaumiere

10/10 Excellent
"We only stayed one night on our way to carcassonne from having seen chateau de peyreperteuse. The hotel was very clean and welcoming and the owner was very helpful. The town was exceptionally cute. I wish we had booked a longer stay to take better advantage of the activities the town had to offer."
