The food was outstanding, beautifully prepared, fresh, and one of the highlights of our stay. The property itself is stunning. The grounds are peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. Every little detail added to the experience and made the hotel feel like such a special place to relax and enjoy Italy. Honestly, everything was perfect. The beautiful setting, wonderful food, exceptional staff, and overall atmosphere exceeded our expectations. We loved our stay and would return without hesitation. We had a large room facing the street that was comfortable with high ceilings and lots of space. Bernalda, at first, seems like a not particularly lovely little town but it does grow on you. The house is infused by the interests and personality of the owner Francis Ford Coppola -- probably the principal reason most people visit. Fortunately, the hotel mostly lives up to the expectations..."
