"Could have been cleaner (chewing gum and hair in the plughole in the bathroom sink). Shower cubicle filled with water when being used as drainage partially blocked. No pillow cases on bed when I first arrived. However, you get what you pay for and overall it was fine. Good value for money, comfortable, spacious and very accessible. "

"PROs: Clean room, well-equipped, pleasant. CONs: Ordered an “Apartment” got a “Studio”. Apparently, both the same, except size, and allocated by the owner. No staff present, no reception, just lock-boxes outside. E-mail sent late with arrival instructions. Had to call lodge number to find out how to get in. "good buffet breakfast with plenty of gluten free options including gluten free sausages, bread, croissants and porridge. We stayed in the Hugh Stewart House which is quite quirky early 19th century house with 4 suite rooms and its own reception, breakfast and kitchenette. Full of victorian gothic character and only 5 min utes walk from the main hotel where you can get breakfast. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the food again was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel is in the heart of the Nottingham University campus grounds which is 350 acres of grounds and woodland to wander around and only a 15 minute tram ride from the city centre. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will become my default place to stay when visiting Nottingham "
