"The apartment was very nice in a colonial building within the city center. You can easily walk to the Malecon and iconic cafes. Unfortunately, the staff didn't speak English but was extremely friendly and helpful and we managed to communicate. Moreover, there is no free parking close to the hotel and if you come by car you have to park several blocks away and pay. Overall, the hotel was not in its best shape anymore but it is definitely worth staying in such an iconic place. "
"Fue horrible, nos tuvieron dos horas esperando y nos dijeron que nos saliéramos a la calle, después dijeron que ellos no aceptaban reservas de Hotels.com que no entendían por qué Hotels.com seguían vendiendo, si ustedes sabían perfectamente que ellos no querían trabajar con ustedes. "This property is located in an excellent location. The hotel rooms have excellent A/C. Please note that the month of July in Veracruz, Mexico is extremely humid! Please note that the handicapped ramps are very limited and there are many uneven sidewalks in Veracruz, Mexico. This city is definitely not for a disabled/handicapped person. A disabled/handicapped person will not be able to go on a boat tour to Cancuncito or another island due to no safe sidewalks to beach area. The waiters/waitresses in hotel do not check on their tables with frequency. It feels like you are forgotten after your order arrives. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I just hope that waiters/waitresses improve their attentiveness. Stay away from the Taproom (Cerveceria) at the main garden where the music is played at night! "
"I love that the hotel is near the historical area. However, the area has seen better days. The area is safe, there are marines and police everywhere. Our view from our hotel room was an abandoned lot. The government is doing its best in restoring the area. Be aware when going there are a lot of ruins and unmaintained buildings. "
