"Very special place 30 or so minutes outside of Kandy, near Wattegama. A few individual cabin-esque rooms (with en-suite) around a cute courtyard of natural spring pool, pond, hammocks etc. Very attentative hosts who really demonstrate Sri Lankan hospitality at its best. The walk around the spice garden and local village was so interesting. Such a unique bonus to make this more of an experience than just a bed for the night. "The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was very delicious. I personally loved the vegetable samosas served on Thursday morning. I also love how they have different variety of Sri Lankan curries in the morning. Also their fruits were ripe and very sweet. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell of the room when we arrived and they moved us to another room. The pool was very nice to swim in and their burger was tasty. Their laundry service is quick and very tidy."

"We stayed in the Riverdale Bungalow for 4 nights. This bungalow is across town from the main hotel. The bungalow was gorgeous, clean and had lots of amenities. We were just a couple using the main bedroom, but there is a second room with 2 single beds so a family could stay here. The private pool, big porch and side garden were all for our use and beautiful. The view from up there does not get any better. We visited many places in Kandy, and this one had the best view. Very peaceful to relax by the pool and watch nature go by. Delicous Breakfast was made to order every morning on the porch so we got to watch the birds and monkeys go by. Bandana the butler and the Chef made the stay perfect and personalised for us, the curry dinner was the best meal we had in Kandy."

"Just an excellent, excellent stay from start to finish in this historic Colonial building. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the team really just was top notch and really cared about quality of food. The loft was a hit with the kids and the fine correction of loose tea was very much appreciated. We only stayed one night due to our itinerary, but would have loved to have stayed longer. The kids dipped their legs in the pool, but also didn't have the chance to swim due to time constraints. Will definitely be back in the future!"
