"This hotel looks like any other high end hotel but with some differences.
The price is very reasonable. Slightly more than half of the big name brands.
We stayed on a friday in late Aug. right off I-64 near Richmond.
They offer the standard continental breakfast but what you don’t normally see is this: The afternoon of your check in day, at around 5:30, Drury offers a dinner buffet and 3 cocktails per guest FOR FREE!! This is the only place that we stayed at where this was offered.
We will certainly be repeat customers.
Of course, the staff, lobby, rooms, pool and grounds were impeccable!
We were left scratching our heads, wondering how they make any money!"
"There was an mix up with the two rooms we booked through Expedia. When we checked in, the hotel had our party of 5 booked for one room. We had to call Expedia about the mix up which took some time before it was straightened out by then, the hotel didn't have two rooms, they gave us one big room. Expedia refunded half my money back. The breakfast area wasn't always clean due to people dropping food on floor and counter."
"My stay at the Commonwealth was very comfortable and accommodating. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean, housekeeping refreshed my room daily, and my room was quiet. I will book here again when in the area."
"This place was clean and my room was very spacious. Some of the lights needed to be replaced but it was plenty of lighting. Only thing was the ice machine needed to be cleaned inside. When I saw how moldy it was, I only used it to sit a bottle in it, I did not consume it. I would stay again."
