"Lovely stay for a solo birthday trip. Large resort, decent sized pools with plenty of loungers although they get taken quickly each morning. Really attentive pool staff for drinks each day. Spa facility was fantastic and better than expected. Initially given the wrong room and was a bit tired but moved after 1st night. Fairly basic but comfortable and everything needed for the stay with a decent balcony overlooking the pool/coast. Breakfast was plentiful and staff friendly and attentive. Nice options for the buffet dinner as well as the ability to select 3 other bookable restaurants for 3 courses...very nice touch and breaks up eating in the same place each night. Convenient for a short taxi to old town and walkable to local shops. Had a late flight so once checked out i was able to use the facilities and food/drink for the rest of the day and spa facilities to get refreshed before the airport which was a really nice and helpful touch."

"I will start with the pros: Hotel was clean, deluxe sea view room was lovely with the most perfect view. The food was good for an all inclusive. The Filipino and African staff were lovely. There were no sun-bed wars we always managed to get a sun-bed either by pool or beach after 10am. Cons: The food was nice but it was never warm enough. The Greek staff were rude/unfriendly we found this mostly at the Lobby bar and buffet restaurant, the pool bar staff were not rude but also not happy! The entertainment was awful! And timings were bad. After 10pm there is literally nothing! I’ve never seen so many people playing cards at a 5 star hotel. This hotel is mostly catered for families with young children who want early nights. There is nothing much going on in the day, I think there could be more things in main pool the days the DJ played just made the vibe a bit better. The sun-beds on the beach were basic, the adults only had nice cushioned sun beds as did the hotel next door. The adults only also has a drinks service to your bed…both classed as 5 star so to be it should be the same service to both hotels. Did I have a nice stay: yes, would I come back: no. Not 5* in my opinion."

"Stunning hotel and amazing rooms. Amazing breakfast and amenities including well equipped gym and pool. The champagne bar was also a highlight. The food was of a good standard in general, but my main complaint is that restaurants cannot be booked before arriving, and when we arrived some of the à la cart options were already fully booked for the full week of our stay. This is unacceptable for a hotel that charges a premium for this. We could also see other guests complaining about this at reception. We also felt the cocktails could be improved and at times it was difficult to get a bed at the pool. Overall great hotel and if they can fix the restaurant booking system would be 5/5."

"Lovely stay at the Sun Palace Hotel. The pool areas and the water park were great. Lots of places to sit and sunbeds. The only problem was that the sunbeds are very dated and uncomfy, a lot of them are ripped, broken. The food always had great variety and there is something for everyone. In between meal times there are cafes which have food you can get at any point. Unlimited gyros at the water park cafe. There are a lot of drinks machines plotted around and you just help yourself which is great as you don’t have to queue at a bar waiting. Same with the ice cream. The room cleaning was not great. we selected our room to be cleaned every day and the towels were always replaced. However, the bedding wasn’t. Additionally, the bathroom was dirty and it was not cleaned once. I think they only replace towels and change bedding on certain days. The location is close to Faliraki strip and beach. It is also approximately 20 minutes away from the old town and airport in a car. There is free parking at the hotel and we hired a car which was great. Overall, great stay at a very reasonable price and the staff were friendly."
