"The architecture of Pousada Armenteira was quite unusual; you see it on the right as you come down the camino path into Armenteira. It is a glass & concrete building with weathered wooden uprights on the facade. The interior has polished wood floors and walls; interesting exhibits of local artists. The receptionist was charming & helpful; check-in very easy. A very good breakfast is included. No bar or evening meal available, but 1 cafe open 'til 5pm & 1 bar+ restaurant, near the monastery, serves evening meal from 7-11 pm. The room & bathroom were very clean. Beds comfortable. Shower facility quite unique; suitable for disabled access; bath serves as drain-has a liftable over, which is flush with the floor--lift it & you have a sunken tub! It is more than a guest house, it has the capacity for corporate events."

"This was probably my favorite hotel in the camino portugues! So comfortable and luxurious. Our room was a great size. Our bed was very comfortable, the hotel was unique and interesting. Our bathroom was spa like and I loved the tub after a long day of walking the camino. Very convenient, just off the c amino, and close to restaurants and town. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor sitting areas. I would love to come back!"

"Great place to stay: comfortable, all the amenities we needed, easy to access all the places we wanted to visit nearby, loved the swimming pool, balcony. Super helpful staff. Our microwave blew up and was replaced in minutes. We arrived outside the check in window and were rapidly helped. The parking/access system was cumbersome and slow, but apart from that it was perfect."

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa de Marin as a solo traveler. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist whenever I needed anything. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. I also really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which made traveling alone feel especially easy and enjoyable. The location was convenient, and overall the hotel offered everything I needed for a pleasant and stress-free stay.
