"For the price paid the accommodation was very good, clean and larger than a Parisian hotel room. Towels were enough including the beach towel. The view is superb from the table in front of the door. The only miss was the coffe for the provided machine but the girl at the reception was helpful and the problem was solved."

"We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town."
"Lovely place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be difficult to find at certain times of day, but usually you find something. Pool was lovely. Rooms cleaned well, towels for pool provided. Coffee shops/bakeries, supermarket, laundromat at the end of the street. Lots of sets of approx 2-5 steps throughout the property, so although not multi-storey, is a bit of a work out managing luggage. Thanks for a great stay, I wouldn't hesitate to come back again."
"The hotel was great especially for families with young children. The creche & kids club facilities are really a highlight the best I’ve seen! The staff were all so friendly & helpful. The water park is also a highlight and great for young children with very shallow pools. Food variety & quality was really good & good cocktails at the various bars. Our family room was a good set up for a family of 3 giving our toddler his own room. Overall would definitely recommend to families with young children!"
"Beautiful, clean spacious hotel, if you're looking for quality food high end restaurant and fine dining this is the best choice hotel, set in a great location, right on the beach, choice of villas and apartments with private pool, or room with a swim up pool, or just room without pool.
Staff are brilliant, speak excellent English, such wonderful helpful staff, first time to Crete and would definitely return to this Crete and this hotel.
Grecotel has its own farm which is included in the package, great trip to see how they produce local olive oil, honey, they provide you with many courses during the visit with delicious food and wine.
The beds in the hotel and pillows are so comfortable, the rooms are spotless and room service every day, you have a fridge in your room which is replenished every day with soft drinks, tea and coffee facilities, beach towel and bath towels changed daily.
Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
The drinks available are branded and good quality, staff behind the bar are efficient as are the staff around the pool, offering you drinks and snacks when required.
Young children's pool and activities which is all shaded, 2 main pools with plenty of shade and sunbeds, some in the water which is a lovely treat.
Reception staff are very knowledgeable and so helpful, they want to please.
Gym and sauna available onsite which looked modern, nice shop onsite
The main dining room which is self serve had choice and great quality.
Perfect All inclusive"
"Our stay was absolutely incredible! The staff were extremely attentive and made a conscious effort to get to know us, especially Kostas(?) (and our coffee orders!). The breakfast spread was wide and varied each day and is run smoothly, self served and on the glorious terrace overlooking the sea.
Our side view room had everything we needed and the addition of the terrace overlooking the restaurant and ocean was perfect.
Having access to the beach was a particular highlight for us, with sun loungers and beach towels provided.
We found the location of the hotel ideal, with a row of restaurants less than a 5 min walk away, as well as the restaurant at the hotel (which had exception food and cocktails!). Also a 20 min walk to the Old Town.
Overall a perfect trip, would definitely come back!"
"The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and very professional, from cleaners to reception staff. The hotel grounds were spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The hotel was in an excellent location and facilities were excellent."
