"we've stayed here many a time bc of our Marriott membership, it's always nice, clean, conveniently located to the beach and eateries, staff is a hit or miss, the rooms are also, the beds typically comfortable. we do love their breakfast spread! and the staff for breakfast are usually the most welcoming and helpful."

"The best thing about this place was the location. You can’t beat it. We were able to walk to everything, including the beach, restaurants, shopping centers. However, this property is very outdated. The bathroom was seriously outdated, the electrical outlets need updating, and they never cleaned our room or gave us towels for the entire day. What’s with that? The ironic thing is you will actually see a picture of the person that’s supposed to clean your room with a QR code to add a tip if you like. My tip is, clean the damn room. We actually had to go ask for towels on the first day and then just gave up. Not sure what’s going on with the service these days but it’s getting worse and worse in America. If you travel abroad, you will see that America is probably at the bottom of your list when it comes to value for your money and everything else. While I love Carlsbad, I don’t think I will be back here. I’ll keep looking for better deals and places that take a little bit more pride and people that actually clean your rooms and give you towels. I didn’t think we actually had to go beg for those."

"The hotel has definitely gone downhill a bit. Recently stayed and the suite we were in had a constant loud AC running all night and the mini fridge was also loud, unable to get a good night sleep.Also the carpet had red stains and front staff at desk could be more nice, their not very friendly. "

"Staff was super nice and helpful. Lots of construction next door so beware lots of noise. Pool is smaller but does the job. Rooms were very clean. "

"The facility was great! Lots of fun activities and entertainment for children. The rooms were quiet and remained evenly temperatured with no loud a/c units! The full facility was cleaned thoroughly! It’s convenient to have the restaurants on site, all were great with the exception of the dinner buffet at Bricks, which I would absolutely not recommend due to it being highly overpriced for less-than-mediocre food that was completely unappealing and had been sitting under the warmer for far too long."
