"Lovely accommodating owner and staff but this is really a well located café (even the sign says Café Gerberhaus!) with good basic rooms. Gardens off the back with a lot of potential but not maintained, as the focus seems to be to just manage everything else day to day, which they do! Can park right on the street, especially overnight, but better to park in the (easy to access) huge lot just outside the old wall, about 150 metres away, for more than that. Access is an adventure as you need to...

"We absolutely loved the central location and the atmosphere of the old hotel. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We stayed in room 15 and you could watch everyone shoot photos. We loved having a safe place to park for a small fee. The only drawback was the shower. It went from warm to scalding hot, then back to cold. My husband and i were both burned mid-shower. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. "

"What an incredible place to stay. Our view was amazing and the room was perfect. I wish we had stayed longer just to sit in our room and look out the window. I absolutely love this hotel! The breakfast is beyond anything you could ask for and every single item was quality. Parking was easy. Unload your luggage at the hotel and it is a short drive from the hotel to park the car. This is a must stay hotel! "
