"The only place I stayed at that required $100 CASH deposit, even after having paid with a credit card. When we got there we were unable to get into the pool because they closed it at 8pm. The table had two tiny dead roaches on it when we got into our room. The AC was not working at all and the room was more unbearably hot than being outside. Even with the windows open all night. The TV reception didnt work so we cpuldnt even watch tv because the glotching was so bad. Tried to get into the pool...

"Hands down the filthiest motel I've ever stayed in, and I'm a purveyor of cheap motels. 1) Moldy something under the microwave plate 2) Holes (cigarette burns?) in the sheets 3) Crazies blasting bass in their cars at 5am for 45 mins 4) luke warm shower 5) a tiny bar of soap, no shampoo 6) dust and dirt and grime on most surfaces. 7) Wifi network down and nobody at the front desk for hours after 10pm The key and heater worked at least. "Where is from Motel 6 is not a good place to stay. Based on the pictures and the reviews I decided to take a chance on this one. I wasn’t disappointed.
For the price point, it was clean, the lady behind the desk went above and beyond and I felt relatively safe.
My only negative would be that the doors were not opened at 6 o’clock for coffee. Fortunately, I’m not much of a coffee drinker.
I was able to walk over to Burger King into a market to get a few things and again I felt perfectly...

Gaia Hotel & Spa Redding, an Ascend Collection Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Spa was excellent. Restaurant was great! Hotel not so much. First room was not clean. Next room was a little better but the tv didn’t work, jacuzzi was cold, and the fridge wasn't cold. Complaints were ignored. Won't stay again. "
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Red Bluff-South Redding by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel in in mint condition, with an approachable and professional staff. The pool/hot tub area was clean, and the breakfast was by far one of the most fully stocked and well prepared I have encountered in a long time. "
"The AC wprked great
Room had an odd smell
Very small TV for large room
Beds firm
Bathroom was nice
Beds on fllor with bagged box spring
Pool unusable
Rusty laundry area sitting outside
Ice machines broken
Pictures on website
For 79 bucks it works"
"Rooms were clean, looked newly refurbished, as others have mentioned. Complementary breakfast was standard with a few hot items (eggs, bacon, potatoes). The frig in the room held al the items in my cooler and the front desk kindly kept my freezer packs in their freezer overnight. Hop Valley Brewery was a short walk from the parking lot for casual dining, and locally owned (which I prefer over chains). Hampton is owned by Hilton. Turns out I am 25 years late in learning this. Very reasonable price for my room while passing through town on a Sunday night. I would return."
