"Charming hotel filled to the brim with books. I only stayed for 1 night (as Obidos is quite small) but wished I had stayed for longer just because of this hotel. I arrived at 11am and was pleasantly surprised to be told my room was ready, so I could check in early - great start! The room was large with separate living space, 2 bathrooms and a small outside terrace. The receptionist was friendly and she organised a restaurant booking for me at the hotel’s Book and Cook (also lovely). She also informed me of the hotel’s new secret garden, which was a lovely sun trap in the evening with a glass of wine. Finally, I was unable to stay for the breakfast due to catching an early bus from nearby Caldas da Rainha to Porto (Ubers also serve this hotel thankfully!), but the staff insisted on organising a packed lunch box for me to take away on my travels which was very kind of them to keep offering. The hotel is just outside the Obidos wall and well located to access everything you need to explore this town. I would go back to Obidos just for this hotel alone!"
