"We booked a room, showed up before checkin time and they were not operating yet for the season. Mistakes happen, so we weren’t too upset as we found a nearby room at Hotel Portobello . The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "

"This hotel was not my first choice. It was the only place with accommodation during the period of my visit. Expedia and the hotel web site state check-in is at or after 4:30PM. "The hotel was easy to find on a main highway. Inside it was dark with stairs to climb and long hallways. The room was very small but comfortable. "Positives: service was fast and friendly. Nicola was very helpful of where to visit in LUCERA and help with luggage. Breakfast pastries were fresh and coffee great. Negatives: the location is a10 minute car ride to town and nothing is around (except unfinished building). Landscaping needs to be cleaned up to give the look from the photos. Any noise in the building is noticeable in the room, even chairs moving and low voices. I picked because of the positives reviews, which I think are out of date."
