The room was very clean, spacious, with very friendly staff. What I didn’t like was the fact they didn’t replenish the instant coffee in the room, having said that, the hotel does the job and the rates are reasonable.

Location is amazing. You can walk to the beach in about 15 to 20 minutes. There are bus stops and shops nearby. The staff was amazing as well, especially the housekeeping lady.

The Best Hotel Residence Italia is a great option if you're planning on visiting Cagliari and Quartu Sant Elena, or even for a stop over before moving on to other places in sout east Sardinia. It's super close to the Poetto beach, you can either walk there (15 minutes) and see the beatiful flamingos in the lagoon or take a bus (bus stop across the street) and get there in less than 3 minutes. The hotel is modern and clean. Our room was spacious and spotless as well as super quiet. There are many didining options within walking distance, and the breakfast buffet was great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back :)

The staff were very friendly and helpful! It was a decent walking proximity to poetta beach (20-30 minutes) and a short walk to various cafes and restaurants. Parking was also free which was nice. Cons - There was only 1 charger in the room, on the complete opposite side of the beds which was inconvenient. We also did not love how the hotel/hotels.com charged us extra for a 2nd person, even though the room is meant for 2 people (queen bed, advertised for 2 people) yet we had to pay an extra 35 euros a night.

Very nice staff. Main reason I gave it 5 stars. Hotel is a bit dated, no USB ports, small shower. Breakfast is basic but fresh. A little out of the way from the town center, but a nice 10 minute walk to the beach. Overall good value for the money.

Staff at the hotel were really helpful. Room was large and comfortable. Parking is available at the hotel and plenty of spaces across the road etc. Beach and nature reserve both a short walk and there are a few nice restaurants within a 10 mins walk but is worth booking in advance. Breakfast is a bit more limited in choice compared to a lot of other hotels and the hotel/rooms feel a little dated. The common areas were being painted during my stay.

Impeccable Stay--great location & hospitality.

Hospitality was on point--receptionist helped us book our airport taxi, recommended some great eats. Location was sublime--15 mins walk to Poetto beach, 5 mins walk to a grocery store, lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby, plus near many bus stations as well. One criticism from me is the hotel creaks and have a lot of sounds, i.e neighbour flushing, clanking in vents/walls, etc. I am a heavy sleeper so no issue for me but may pose a problem to light sleepers. Overall 9/10 stay, would stay again.

So the hotel was fine. Clean and staff were great. However for me, in room 205, it was noisy and that wasn’t outside the room, the toilet and shower of the room above and next door I could hear, infact at one point I thought the toilet above was feeding into mine- it wasn’t. The mini fridge was also really loud. I was a lone traveller and walked the neighbourhood to see what was about and felt quite uncomfortable there. There is shops and restaurants but they are not obvious. I wouldn’t stay there again.

We loved our stay at this hotel which was a family holiday for 8 days. We booked two of the larger rooms (one double one single in each) as we were four (parents and children aged 19,21). The rooms were great with one of them semi divided down the middle. We could see the biggest rooms could take a family of 4 with younger children and those had the balcony. The hotel price is good - much less than central Calagari and with a car we had easy access to the city with a 15 min drive. The beach was 2 mins drive or 15-20 mins walk and was a nice beach with some restaurants. Other nicer beaches to the east were 20 mins drive which were good for snorkelling. There were restaurants nearby but we preferred to drive to the city and eat there most days. We visited a small winery town one day (Serdiana) and did a mountains walk. The hotel doesn’t have great views but not a big issue - it was quiet and the hotel had feee parking. The aircon was fine although we never had really hot weather. It may have struggled more in 36-40c. The staff were very helpful and room service great- all very clean. The breakfast we only had one day - it was fine but we didn’t want much so found a nice place opposite that did coffee and pastries for a good price. Most restaurants are good prices for pizza / pasta unless you go very fancy. Drinks are quite cheap and ice creams. As a UK family it was nice to go somewhere not so populated with Brits. The mini bar was useful as a fridge. Thank you Best Western!
